‘Vanities’ Opens At SJRT SOMERS POINT-J«ck Heifner** long-running offBroadway comedy. "Vanities” will be a professional New Jersey regional theatre premiere when it opens at South Jersey Regional Theatre’s Gateway Playhouse in Somers Point next week. "Vanities’’ opened at the off-Broadway Chelsea Theatre in New York in 1874. After more than 4 years it is still playing there to full houses. An amusing and slightly ironic comedy, "Vanities’’ is the story in 3 acts of three Southern high school cheer-leading girls who change from all but identical "best friends’’ (1983) into quite different and incompatible New Yorkers (1974). For membership and general ticket information and reservations call the South Jersey Regional Theatre box-office at 653-
0553.
