Kick The Habit Clinic
Slated COURT HOUSE-The American Lung Association of Southern New Jersey announced the start of another smoking withdrawal clinic to be held in conjunction with the Cape May County Health Department. The clinic will begin on Tuesday evening, November 13 at 7 p.m. at the Health Department, Crest \ Haven Complex, Cape May Court House. Cost for the clinic which will meet one night a week for six weeks is $25. The Southern Jersey Lung Association will reimburse $10 of the fee for attending five of the six sessions. Walter Dickinson, Jr., Managing Director for the Lung Association said the "kick the habit" clinics are made possible through Christmas Seal contributions. Dickinson added that in most cases, emphysema is selfinflicted because of cigarette smoking. "The best way to destroy the scourge of emphysema in America is to educate the iwhlic in the imperative need to not smoke,” Dickinson stated. For more information about the clinic, or to register, call: Andy Mekhoire, at the health department, (609) 465-3181 or the Christmas Seal People at (609) 561-0700.
