Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian WILDWOOD - Elder John Steinrudrwill preach at the if a.m. worship at Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 119 E. Rio Grande Ave., Wildwood. Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. There are Biblecentered study classes for all age groups from preschooler through adult. A nursery is provided for infants during Sunday School. The evening worship service begins at 7 p.m. This is a more informal time of worship. A prayer service and Bible study is held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday of each week. Faith Fellowship Chapel COURT HOUSE - Family Bible Hour 9:45 a.m. With classes for all ages including nursery. Pastor Allen continues with messages from "The Wet Prophet" concerning Jonah during the 11 a.m. worship service. The "Study of God" will be the topic at 7 p.m. Children's Church for preschool is

Canon Cox and St. Mary's choir will participate with the clergy and choirs of the other churches of Seven-Mile Beach in the annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service which this year will be held in the First Methodist Church of Avalon, 34th St. & Dune Dr., on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 7:30p.m. All are weicome to attend and to partake of refreshments after the service.
Grace Gospel Church Chapel RIO GRANDE - "Confronting One Another" will be the theme for the message which will be delivered by the Rev. Guy L. Rathmell, pastor of the Grace Gospel, Rio Grande, at the 11 a.m. worship service this Sunday. Sunday School is at 9:45 a.m. with classes for all ages. At the 7 p.m. Sunday Service, the Word of Life Glib will be participating followed by a message from the pastor entitled "The Best Advice for a Young Person." The chapel's radio program "Sending Forth the Gospel Light" is heard each Tuesday evening at 6:30 over sUtion WRIO-FM (102.3). Prayer and praise meeting is held on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Bring the entire family for an evening of fellowship. A Ladles' Bible Study is held Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the large chapel basement. The Book of John will be studied. Another Ladies Bible Study is held on the same day at 1 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Ruth Church, S22 Old Shore Rd., Erma. * Gospel Crusaders (Grades 1-6) and the Word of Life Gub (Grades 7-12) are held on Thursday evenings at 7.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The Herald will publish excerpts from the "Avalon Courier" the Avalon Elementary School newspaper on each month. Science Is Humming The sixth graders are busy in science. They have been watching films and taking notes. Mrs. Michael!! explains everything super ,they children record the temperature, barometric pressure, and winds every day. They like to compare and see the changes in the weather. They are all good spellers and enjoy spelling Language is rollong along pretty well. They also practice using their memory by going around the classroom and naming a favorite food, car, city, animal, or country. They enjoy using their memory like this. —Michelle Clayton
Fire Prevention... Go Go Go! The kindergarten went to the Stone Harbor Fire Hall. They saw a movie on Fire Prevention and climbed on all the fire trucks. They ate hotdogs, cake, applesauce, and ice cream. Each child that went to the Fire Hall was given a fireman’s hat and some won prizes for the best poster on how to prevent Kathleen McNulty, Lisa Matalucii and Bekki Rich were the top winners and everyone v*s very proud of them. —Jennifer Matalucci

The 7th grade are making progress in Social Studies. They are going to use a brush and ink to make Japanese symbols. It's going to be a big project. The project is caUed calligraphy. There are 28 students in the 7th grade. Also, the seventh graders did book reports on Japanese hereoes for Mrs. Beddow. It looks like an exciting and interesting year! —Ursla Reed & Denise Ripp 2n(fGrade “The Busy Beavers" The second grade has 3 more wall sound cards to ' uncover. Wall-sound cards are picture letter sounds which help the second graders. They have been using cuisen aire rods to help them in addition and subtraction. One of the groups is going into level six in reading. They are really good readers. The second grade also have received new books. They enjoy them slot.
