Vo-Tech Honor Roll

The Cape May County (Vocational Technical Board of Education is proud of the students who have achieved "Honor Roll” status for the first marking period. It is our intention to make the public aware of the VoTech students who are excelling in a vocational

A FEELING OF SECURITY ... Leroy 'Stringy’ Church is shown making his rounds at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Security guards like Mr. Church constantly patrol the building and grounds of the hospital to protect paUents and property. The officers, under the direction of Li. William Hoe, work for Wells Fargo Security Guard Services and are under contract to the local hospital to provide security services.

SEA GIRT - A Wildwood policeman recently completed a class on Juvenile Justice Training for municipal police officers at the N.J. State Police Training Center. Sgt. George Kern completed the four-day course designed to, assist law enforcement personnel in dealing with the growing problem of just juvenile delinquency, Col. Clintons L. Pagano, State Police Superintendent, said.

Ferry Traffic

N. CAPE MAY - Traffic on the Cape-May-Lewes Ferry dipped again last month continuing what has been a regular dropping off trend this year. The decrease in traffic for both the ferry and the Delaware Memorial Bridge follow a national pattern traffic decreases, although the October percentage was less than that of September 1979, William J. Miller, Delaware Bay and River Authority (DRBA) director said. Traffic on the ferry for October 1979 decreased 933 vehicles and 3,745 passengers from the same month in 1978. October 1979 traffic showed a count of 14.380 vehicles and ’35,291 passengers compared to I5.2U vehicles and 39,036 passengers for October 1978. This reflects a 6.1 percent decrease for vehicles and 9.59 percent for passengers. For the twelve-month period ended October 31, 1979, traffic was 293,409 vehicles and 602,491 passengers compared to 208,448 vehicles and 634,329 passengers for the twelvemonth period ended October 31, 1978, a 2.42 percent decrease for vehicles and a 5.02 percent decrease for passengers.
