STONE HARBOR - One of the largest crowd* In recent years attended the annual Christinas tree lighting ceremony in Stone Harbor, last week. A jammed packed attendance thronged the elementary school to see the children's show and concert "Christmas Through The Eyes of Children" directed by Miss RobiaDee Zubko. The school choir then lead the group up to 96th and Third Avenue where Mayor James G. Wood threw the switch to light the borough's tree. Monsignor Vincent Giamarino and Pastor Perry Cox delivered the invocation and benediction. Following the tree lighting ceremony the crowd went to the Fire House for coffee and cake served by the American Legion Auxiliary. Adding a very festive note to theseason was the bright Christmas lights erected by the borough through out the business districts. In addition a number of merchants have decorated their store fronts with lights and garlands.
