v Dredging Gets First OK MUA Pays Taft 8590 000
AVALON — A 10 year permit of maintenance dredging will be issued by the U S Army Corps of Engineers to the Borough of Avalon. The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is expected to give its final approval. Portroas included in the permit ’ will be Pennsylvania Harbor Third Avenue Waterway. Princeton Harbor and Cravens Thorofare in Avalon The permit will remain in effect until December 31.1990. Spoils site for the project will be 11th Street where a severe erosion problem exists. During the ten year span of the permit, the spoils site can be located anywhere between Eighth Street and Sixteenth Street, as deemed necessary by Council "This dredging project is a joint effort of Borough Council and the Borough Engineer Alyin.C.
