schedule; making general and municipal elections work days; adding December 26, 1900 and December 24, 1981 as holidays, and adding another personal day; — Change contract language to restrict sick leave abuse; —Redefine the work week to provide for more flexible hours during the summer season; —Reduce from 12 to 10 the number of sick days available to new employees; and to pay on retirement with pension,
half the accrued unused sick days to a maximum of 80; —Revise the grievance procedure with an eye to avoiding costly arbitration by providing for a process of hearing disputes at the local level; — Provide a new prescription drug plan paid by the borough, and an increase in Blue Cross/Shield coverage to the 14/20 plan; — Establish a new classification and pay plan based on formal job descriptions and salary ranges. Actual signing of the new pact came during a . special meeting of borough council earlier this month following approval of the agreement at the governing body's last regular meeting of 1979 Mayor Ellsworth Armacost signed on behalf of the borough. Signing for the employees were Andrew Sclranka, Conrad Lind and Bill Crowley, who were members of the workers’ negotiating team.
