RIO GRANDE - Cape Human 'Resources Inc./CETA has launched an all-out effort to recruit private sector employer participation in its On the Job Training program. According to CETA representative Elsa Vernon, the OJT program has funds to place approximately 30 economically disadvantaged individuals into private sector employmcnt—with CETA paying half their salary

during training.

"This program" she said in a news release, "provides the individual with marketable Job skills training while giving financial assistance, in

terms of salary reimbursements. to help alleviate the employer's training costs." She alio explained that OJT allows the employer to develop a training program to meet individual business needs and that although applicants must meet certain * CETA eligibility requirements, the em ployer makes the final decision in hiring. Vernon cited management, clerical, para-professional, and trade ^positions as among the wide variety of Job titles that qualify under
