C.O. Receives Oak Leaf Three Commended For Meritorious Service

COURT HOUSE - Three citizen-soldiers of the Army National Guard unit at the armory here have been awarded the Army Commendation Medal The presentation came during the January monthly drill of the 154th Supply & Service Battalion and were made by Col Leonard J Tharney of the Command and Control Headquarters in Camden The citation accorr\panying the medal was signed by Secretary of the Army Clifford Alexander Jr. In another ceremony during the unit's recent Sunday drill. Col Tharney formally presented the current battalion commander Charles Sava with his colonel oak leaf clusters Receiving the Army Commendation Medals were former commanding officer Lt Col. Robert Denny of Villas. CWO-2 Dan D'Amico of Wildwood and MSG. Wilfred Lea of Marmora. The award was bestowed upon each man for his outstanding and meritorious service while serving in a position of responsibility. According to the citation: Lt. Col.
