Diller Home Recipient Of Lions Club Donation

STONE HARBOR - The Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children has received a $1,500 boost from the Wildwood Lions Club. A check for that amount was presented on behalf of the home during a recent meeting of the Stone Harbor Lions here The donation will go award a renovation program currently underway at the home \ The Wildwood Lions made the renovation program one of their own fund raising projects.

Lions' clubs throughout the world are noted for their efforts promoting better vision and helping those with slight problems The Diller Home provides a vacation retreat for 26 unsighted children each week during the summer. During the presentation meeting at the local club, presided over by Ernest L. Yarborough. Wildwood Club President Dr. Arnold Podell presented Diller Home president Frank Klebauer with the $1,500 check

Freeholder Ralph Evans: Rev WilTlam Reas nor, former Methodist Minister now in Pitman, supertendent of Schools Dr Johnson, and Jack Hand and Dr. Callaway of the board of Education Chairman of the event was Bob Penkethman. Gary Barber was in charge of ihe door prizes, and President Bob Mossbrooks and First Vice president Lou I-uteri also lent their talents to make the affair run smoothly As one patron was heard to say upon leaving. Poetry Display At County library COLT ■ HOUSE - An exhibition of poetry on display at the county library Feb. 8-27 includes books. bibliographies, posters, and contemporary works by New Jersey pnest. Featured also is "Three Women: In Touch With Life,*’ an exhibit of watercolors with poetry. Poems on display are by Kay Fialkoff, Barbara Fischer, and Carol Prfntz. Kay Fialkoff writes poetry as an integral part of her creative expression as a painter. She writes ot life from an artist's perspective as well as that of a mother, wife, and contemporary woman. Barbara Fischer is a psychotherapist by profession. She lives and works in New York City, and began writing poetry 11 years ago. Poetry for her facilitates a release, introspection. and inspection of feelings. Carol Printz is a native of what is now called the Meadowlands area on New Jersey. After receiving a B A in English from Douglas College, she participated in the Great Peregrination of 60's children around the North American continent.
