Volleyball The Stumblers II battled third-place Library III tooth and nail before losing 15-12, 5-15, 15-8 in a defensive battle from the back line to the net. Joe Halasi, Scott Hiller and Dave Piancentlne set the tone early with tremendous bumping and shot blocking for the Stumblers. Dexter Faunce was flawless setting for the spike for his Library teammates. The Disillusionytes entranced Kona with sound setting and serving then shot by them 15-2,15-7,15-9 behind Peter Hart and Shop Taylor. Kona got a fine all-around performance from Tim

The C-View Inn fought off the hot-blooded stalwarts of Axelsson & Johnson to capture a see-saw battle 1510. 15-13.5-15. Bill Bexaire, Bob Smeltzer and Herb

Team

The Cape May Youth Traveling Basketball squad took a pair of games for Wildwood foes. Behind Pat Holden's 19 points, Brian Jones' 16 tallies and Claude Wise's 11 markers, the Travelers overmatched St. Ann's 56-17. Basketball The Bullets stand alone in first place at 5 and l after defeating the Cavaliers 41-37 and the Sixers 38-37 before dropping their only game 52-37 to the sharp Spurs. Bob Chadwick scored 21 points and Mike Snow 18 to power the Spurs’ upset over the Bullets. Claude Wise. Jay Wexler and Arlon Gaines have been the most explosive weapons for the Bullet arsenal all season. The Reggie Taylor — led Warriors took two out of three in recent action. They blitzed the Sixers 77-63, lost to their old nemesis the Spurs and speared the Celtics 51-45. Taylor, averaging 23 points per game. Brian Jones and Dicky Coombs spearheaded both Warrior

victories.

The cruisin’ Cavaliers waltzed to a couple of triumplis over the Celtics 65-41 and the Spurs 46-44, John '( hicken' Richardson drilled in 26 and 21 in the two respective wins and Mike Dille canned a combin<?d 26 points to pace

the ’Cavs.’

The sixers rebounded to stump the staggering Celtics 55-51 in an exciting, high-scoring contest, Phil Boyd ripped off 21 points and numerous rebounds and Mike Matthews swished in 18 more to control the game for the Sixers. The Celts were sparked by Bob Bonner. John Dille, Kevin Conner. Pat Holden and Brady Bonner who accounted for their 51 points.
