Karnival Set Mar. 1 AVALON - The Sea Lions are sponsoring a Kiddie Karnival, 10 to 3, Saturday. March 1 at the Community Hall. 30th St. and the beach. Admission is 50 cents and there will be games and prizes for children of all ages. Lunch will also be available. The karnival is for the benefit of the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children.

SEA ISLE CITY - Helene R. Kelly of Central Ave. is heading up a group of people who will soon be counting noses, and the longterm result just might benefit everybody’s pocketbook a little. She is chairing the "Complete County Committee" the group that will be going door to door April 1 — no fooling — as part of the nationwide 1900 Census count. "Federal funds for communities'are based on population, so it is important that everyone is counted,” Mrs. Kelly emphasizes. Phila., London Trips Set By Historical Unit COURT HOUSE — A March 20 bus trip to Philadelphia's Farimount Park Houses, and a May 1725 plane trip to London are planned by the Cape May County Historical Society. ’Hie Philadelphia trip leaves the county museum on Rt. 9 north of here, 8 a.m. Thursday, March 20, returning here around 5. Included in the $12.50 per person fee is admission to the Mount Pleasant, Sweethriar and Cedar Grove mansions and bus fare. Box lunches will be eaten aboard the bus. The London trip Is $910 and includes air and bus fare, room and continental breakfast at the Pemhridge Gardens Hotel, and all sightseeing in London and side trips to nearhe areas. Budget Course Completed By Freeholder COURT HOUSE - County Freeholder William Sturm Jr., director of Revenue and Finance, has reeived a certificate of completion for the "Municipal Budget Process" course from Rutgers University's Division of Public Education. Designed to acquaint municipal and county finance personnel with the role of a budget as a tool for effective management, the course subjects like departmental budget requests, budget review, analysis and cutting, revenue and ap propriations. new techniques and legal requirements. Sturm has previously completed courses in municipal finance, labor relations and collective bargaining in the public section.
