April 13 Party Aida Hospital SEA ISLE CITY - The Upper Cape chapter of Deborah Hospital will sponsor a fund raising cocktail party Sunday, April 13 at the ItalianAmerican Club, JFTC Blvd. Tickets for the event are now on sale at $3 each. Deborah Hospital is one of the largest heart and lung hospitals in the nation and is supported soley by regional chapters. The Upper Cape chapter consists of citizens from Sea Isle City, Avalon, Stone Harbor. Upper Township and Ocean City — a group that last year raised more than $10,000 for Deborah Hospital.

Girl Scouts To Celebrate 68th Anniv. AVALON - Girl Scouls of America celebrate their 68th anniversary the week of March 9-15, and Troop 215 and 'Brownie Troop 36 will start off the week with church services this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at Stella Church and at 11 at the Methodist Church. On Tuesday, the Girl Scouts will present two plays written by Arlene R. Sayre from New Jersey Voices from the Past. The plays, "A Brave Girl in the New World,” and "A New Jersey Tea Party,” depict early New Jersey. The show will begin at 3:30p.m in the elementary school cafetorium. Light refreshments will be served following the onehour program. Troop 215 will end the anniversary week with a skating party March 15 at the Sea Vee Skating Rink, Ocean City. Victorian Theme For Jaycee-ettea CAPE MAY - The Cape May County Jaycee-ettes hosted the Mainland Jaycee-ettes to an elegant evening of Victoriana recently as part of the annual Pass the; Bank program, of the 1 state Jaycee-ettes. It was an evening of caring and sharing projects and ideas with organization associates. Some 50 were in attendance, dressed in Victorian attire, complete with parasols and decorated hats, at the Community Center. Immediatey following the general membership meeting, a slide presentation (Magic Lantern Show) was projected for guests. The slides were taken by members of the Jaycee-ettes and illustrated the grand concentration of Victoriana in Cape May City. Special guests included Mary Lou Tarby, president of the N.J. Jaycee-ettes; Louise Wettstein, Region 10 director; Mary Mooney, N.J. Jaycee-ette Visitation chairman; and Patty Reeves. Region 10 Visitation chairman. Luncheon To Aid 4-H Fund COURT HOUSE - Food, fun. door prizes, complimentary gifts and recipes will all be part of an Acme Super Saver Party Line Luncheon. 12:30 March 21 at the Lockwood 4-H Center, Dennisveille Rd Proceeds will go toward the 4-H Foundation Building Fund. Appointed To Shade Tree Unit SEA ISLE CITY - Mr Charles Redshaw has been named chairman of the local Shade Tree Commission for an indefinite term. Other members appointed by Mayor Dominic Raffa include Mrs. Donald Laricks, Mr. Herman Fehrle, Mr. Stephen Lamanna, Mrs. Betty Redshaw and Mr. Michael McHale.
