Snyder Legion Post Dinner Sat.* CAPE MAY — Wickert with preparations
Legionnaires of Harry Snyder Post 193 here will join with millions of their fellow members in a globespanning celebration of the American Legion's 6lst anniversary during March. Post Cmdr. Charles Simons has announced. Under the direction of a special committee headed by John Wickert, the anniversary celebration will feature a dinner at the Legion Bingo Hall on W. Perry Street, with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. on March 15. Assisting Vegetables’ Water Needs Specific, Vary NEW BRUNSWICK - Researchers at Cook College, Rutgers ' University, have found that many individual vegetable crops have critical periods at specific points in their growth during which irrigation is absolutely essential. For instance, sweet com requires an abundance of 'water at the silking and tasseling stage, cucumbers must have water from flowering through fruit development, and potatoes need a large amount of water at the tuber-setting stage. Peppers, require a great amount of moisture from the seedling stage to maturity. On the other hand, as onions and muskmelons start to mature, water should be withheld.
