With the loss by the Lady Panthers of Middle Township High School to Pleasantville, - for the third time this season - we can now wrap up the basketball season until next year. Coach BUI Penman blames this loss on the Senior's trip to Disneyworld, but this observer still thinks a team has to try to score in order towinagame. When a 1,000 point scorer like Laurie Bodd goes scoreless, there must be something wrong with the offense. And what king of a moral victory is it to hold a team down to a 19 point edge? Perhaps the coaching staff should take another look at its coaching philosophy. Softball will soon be in the news with the advent of warmer weather. Keith Seaman and Harry Back will have the only Court House team this year,

sponsored by .Parkway .Exxon. * , Hope they can.dig up some good young flayers as Gene Sander* seems to have grabbed the best of the area's crop. Kevin Sherman and Joey Tomlin and Gene and MUke McLaughlin will be playing for Gene’s team. +++ Chuck Doughterty has been working hard with this year’s baseball prospects. Besides hi% batting cage, they have been fielding grounders in the Gym. He says he needs a second baseman, and may come up with a Freshman named Richie Rhlnesmlth, of that illustrious family of athletes. Donny by the way, may be going to Springfield College, in Massachusetts next year. AVALON BRIDGR RESULTS Avalon RtmnUan Center I A» of March 71 I. Ruth Coetroy , *.440 J Nancy Bro** 5.SJ0 3.
