First Meeting of Ciyic Club "Monday AVALON - The first meeting of the 1900 season of the Women's Civic Club will begin at 12:30 March 24 in Borough Hall.

There will be a card party and sandwiches following the meeting, reports President Jayne Reddie, who notes that players should bring cards .and that guests are welcome.

Ocean City Resident Ip Play MAYS LANDING - Ocean City resident Karen Duncan is among the cast members of "Butterflies Are Free," which will be presented March 20-22 by Atlantic Community College's student theatre productions. The show is ffee to the public. Curtain time for the poignant comedy about a young blind man trying to live on his own is 8 p.m. in Walter Edge Hall auditorium. On Friday evening, as an added attraction, there will be an international smorgasbord presented by ACC students beginning at 6. There is a nominal charge. Bus Trip, Dinner Set By Society COURT HOUSE - The Cape May County Historical Society will sponsor a bus trip to Fairmount Park Houses on March 20. The bus will leave the County Museum tat 8 a m. and return there about 5 p.m. The tour will include Mount Pleasant, Sweet briar and Cedar Grove. 1 Participants should bring their own lunch tb eat on the bus. The Society's Spring Dinner will be at the Tuckahoe Inn on Friday, April 18, when the evening’s speaker will be Willard Randell talking on "The Victor's Version of History".
