CAPE MAY - TTie Coed Volleyball League rocketed Into action recently with four genthusiastically
played matches.
The Chosen Few sparked by Paul KUneberger. Bill GarrUon and Sherry Hickock burned F.L.R.S.T. 15-3, i5-2, 15-9. Lynn and Jack Schwartx contributed fine setting and serving in a
losing effort.
Riffraff II grounded Allegheny Commuter |15-1, 15-2, 15-8 with a high-flying front-line attack Sharon Mericle.' Ted Fen-ante and Shep Taylor bumped and set consistentiy for Riffraff all three games. Kim Saraons and Tim Maslck navigated Allegheny's flight and pUght. * The Jammers were shocked by Breakwater Electric 15-7, 15-10, 15-7 by some high-voltage serving from Lou Dwyer and Lisa ' Wargo and the defense of Herb Hudson and Terry Brown. Bud Bowman was a power at the net and Merc Baumann was nearly« unstoppable at the serving line for the Jammers. Ocean Academy flooded the ‘Cellar Dwellars’ of JINS 15-3 and 15-6 but had to overcome a 4-14 deficit to sweep the determined 'Dwellars* 16-14. Sue Brett, David Placentlne and Amy Truman carried the tide for Ocean with their bumping and dinking. Pat Ella, Carol GrlHln and Rick Doring nearly served JINS over Ocean in game three before being shoved into
the cellar.
