Art League Reception, Show Sat. CAPE MAY - The Cape May County Art League is reopening for the season with a reception April 12 in the gallery at the League's headquarters in the Carriage House of the Emlen Physick Estate. 1050 Washington St. The exhibition opening that night will be of the work of league resident artist Helen Clark Dilday. The paintings to be shown have been executed in oil, water color and acrylic and Include florals and landscapes. Mrs. Dilday studied at the Portland (Me.) School of Art and the Cleveland School of Art. She studied privately with Anthony Toney, head of the Art Department of the New School for Social Research in New York City; with portrait painter Veronica Korjus, and with abstract painter Karen Bokar. Before moving to Cape May, Mrs. Dilday worked in the designing field in New York City. Gallery hours at the League after the reopening will be from 11 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sundays. GOP Women Lunch Tues. AVALON - The local Women's Republican Club will launch the spring season with a luncheon meeting at noon April 15 in the Whitebrier. A large turnout of members is being encouraged so that planning may be made for campaign fundraising events and socials such as dinners and theatre tnps.
