Ever since the • Stone Harbor Lions Clrfb was founded in 1&2. the members have worked untiringly to help the blind and the visually handicapped Their major project has been the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children, which is the only establishment of its kind in the state. The youngsters come from the Overbrook Home for the Blind as well as from the state institutions and agencies to spend a week or two each summer at the

FRANCIS KLEBAUR. president of the Stone Harbor Lions Home for the Blind, Inc., tells me that they have a goal of $225,000 to reach In order to have the home in A-l condition for the summer. Individuals may sponsor a child for $150 per week WHEN YOU DIE (let’s face the fact that it will happen to each of us some day) would you like to donate your eyes so that a living person might have sight? Our lochl Lions have, for the past 20 years, cooperated with the Delaware Valley Eye Bank, the Burdette Tomlin Eye Clinic, and the Wills Eye Hospital in this admirable project. If you would like more information, get in touch with Dr. I.N. Patterson, a Stone Harbor Lion, or any club member. Another project is the collection of. discarded spectacles. These may be taken to William Dougherty's pharmacy, and if in doubt, ask him to explain their purpose ON THE lighter side, the local Lions have for many seasons sponsored the four

Seniors Fashion Show Today CAPE MAY - A fashion show will be presented by the evening sewing classes (beginners, intermediate and advanced) attending the Cape May County Vocational Technical Center and the SAGE (Senior Adults Gaining Enrichment) program from Cape May today at 1 p.m. The fashion show will be part of the April meeting 6f the Victorian Chapter of AARP in the Auditorium of Victorian Towers. Mrs. Adelaide G. Franks, home economics teacher and instructor for both groups. will be the commentator. The public is welcome. Mark 50th Anniv. Sat. AVALON - Mr. and Mrs. Wayne B. Gosser of Frankford, Pa. and this community will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary April 12.
