STONE HARBOR - Did that 1 long-legged bird deliver you before 1925? Do you often become unbearably bored? If the answer^ are Yds and No. you probably are a member of Stone Harbor Seniors Perhaps you are one of the original 20 members or one of the additional 150 who have joined since t^ie club was founded a decade ago. For you ov^r-55'ers who are unfamiliar with this exceptional establishment, why not do a little research? There's always A Happening wi^i SHS. FOR THEIR parties, it 's an unbeatable jazz hand comprised of Harry Strohmetx, Ron Shissler, Paul Scarlett and Ray del.aurentis (who has played with many of the Big Names >; and a trio of vocalists. Sara Brady. Marcelle deljiurentis and Marie Spence. The band is attired in spiffy gold jackets emblazoned with a musicians’ logo created by Tom Mitchell. Wednesday is meeting night The first one is business, the rest of the month th<» bingo and pinochle cards come out. Throughout the year there are various outings; like a day at Casino City. a dinner theatre party, and a fiveday trip to the colorful Catskills. RUTH FISHER is tour director, succeeding Marian Peterman, who originated the program several yafers ago. The club also boasts a bowling team, organized six seasons ago by Vernle Pilert. Another active lady is Gracine McMenemy. who .has created an In Memoriam

book.

Although the organization is social and non-profit, it has contributed to many local causes, including the tfelen Diller Home. Rescue Squad and Volunteer ’ Fire Company, and at Christmastime donates gifts to the Woodbine .State School Also, the Seniors have wholeheartedly supported Burdette Tomlin Hospital in volunteer services.
