LANCE HARRISON failed to tome up a victor and seemed stifled by his opponent. Lance's effort was below par as he fell to a 6-2. 7-5 defeat It was Lance's second loss in five outings. Third singles Wayne Rowe dropped a first set 61. but rallied in the second to - force a tie-breaker.
Wayne fought gamely, but fell 5-3 In the tie breaker for a straight set loss FIRST DOUBLES Eric Stone and Scott Bond fought off a hard-hitting feminine duo to match a 6- 1 4.6-2 win. Scott served well and drove balls crisply to confound the slower afoot girls. Eric scored repeatedly with precision service returns. Second doubles saw team co-captain Milton Walker teaming up with Dennis Township's Doc Blanks and struggling to a 6-3. 7-6 victory. It seemed easy going, but the young Hammonton freshman hit service returns repeatedly pulling Blanks and Walker out of position.
