Indicted In Death Of Friend

COURT HOUSE - A County Grand Jury last Thursday indicted a Philadelphia man on manslaughter in the death last January of his girlfriend , in their North Cape May home The true bill was returned against Martin Leahy, ’47, who had initially been charged with the

murder of Jane Michini, 55, Jan. 27. Authorities believe Leahy and Michini had an argument and that the defendant kicked a bed that fell on top of the victim, causing her to fall on a copoer of a bureau puncturing her lung. Leahy had originally been detained in county under $300,000 bail, which

was later reduced to $100,000 bail. The accused was subsequently released from jail upon posting $1,000 or. 10 percent.
