To Mark 40 Years As Priest

followed by a reception and dinner at Maris Stella auditorium, Avalon. THE MOST REV. James Schad, D.D., V.G. Auxiliary Bishop of the Camden diocese and pastor of Maris Stella Church in Avalon, will deliver the homily. Rev. George Giammarino, brother of the monsignor, from Holy Family Church in the Bronx, New York City, will be guest speaker at the dinner. Associate Pastor of St. Paul’s, Rev. James Ronan, S.S.L., will be master of ceremonies. The monsignor was born in New York City, one of

eleven children. He attended Cathedral College and St. Joseph's Seminary in Netf'YorttandSt. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore. He was ordained May 18, 1940 and his first assignment was at St Theresa s Parish in Runnemede, N.J. WHILE SERVING three years there he was also * chaplain at Lakewood General Hospital of Camden Couity. His next assignment was for seven years at St. Michael’s in Atlantic City. He then spent one year at St. Mary’s in Roeenhayn, to be returned in March, 1951 to St. Michael’s where he served as pastor for sixteen years. In February 1967 he was assigned as pastor at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Atlantic City. He was appointed pastor of St. Paul’s herein 1974.
