CAPE MAY — Runners of all ages and abflities will be gathering at 10 a.m. on June 1 for a 10 kilometer (6.24 miles) race through this historic resort community. The course, which is completely paved, is through the historic district and along beach front, and open country roads. The course is flat with straight legs (and no retraced steps.) Registration is by mail, or in person at the spaghetti and beer (carboloading) party Saturday evening May 31, or on race day from between 8 and 9 a.m. at convention hall on the boardwalk. The coaching of Charlie Hickman and Ron Duran and skillful play of such standouts as William Mendo, David Lindsey, Steve Douglas, Dave Zimmerman and Jon Axelison carried the Bruins to an 8-0 regular season before dropping their only two decision during the all-day tourney.

AVALON - The Wells Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ninth St. and First Ave., will open its doors for its 88th season, 10 a m. Sunday. Junes. Wells Church continues to serve the summer and local residents of the Seven Mile Beach, covering the area between Ocean City and Cape May. For 88 years it has been dedicated to providing a sanctuary for Christian worship and fellowship aided by outstanding ordained
