Winners Named In C of C Golf COURT HOUSE - Ninety golfers turned out May 14 for the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce Spring Open Golf Tournament a; the Stone Harbor Golf Club. Winner of the competition was the'long-time coordinator for the event, Dick Longstreel, who carded a low net 71 for the morning round of golf. Nkk Riccio was a close second with 72 and Charlie Posagno an even closer third with 72'A. Awards were presented at a luncheon at the club house immediately after the event. A three-hole playoff was needed to determine Ed Harmey as the Low Gross winner at 78. Trailing with less than two points separating the three leaders were Ralph Schoonejongan, second, and Pete Francesconl, third. x Taking awards for longest drive were Glenn Reagon on the 6th, Bennie Ruckhardt on the 14th and Bill Osborn on the 18th hole. Closest to the Pin awards went to Pete Francesconi for a 10 inch lie on the 9th hole; Charles Nardo on the 10th at 8’5”; and Jack Smith on the 13th ate’e". Because of Longstreet’s victory, the traditional emcee honors were handled by Chamber Executive Director Bob Patterson.
