10th Fair Has First Art Exhibit

CAPE MAY - Th^e were over.25 winners in the first Elementary School Art Exhibit complementing the 10th annual Victorian Fair, sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for ihe Arts .May 24 in
convention hall.
Best in Show trophy and art class scholarship (from the Cape May County Art League) went to John Andrus III of Cold Spring, a fifth grader at Consolidated School, for, his 'Old Cape May" pencil sketch depicting an oldfashioned car and gas
lamp.
BOBBY IIALPIN of Villas was judged the Best Sixth Grade Artist; Scott Taylor of North Cape May received best fifth grader award; Ed Rynyon of Villas best in fourth, Mary Jo Quinn of North Cape May best in third, PTilflip g lurch, best in second, athew Nelson of North Cape May best in first and Michelle Ferrara of Erma best in kindergarten. All are students of the Lower Township School system in either Consolidated or Mafld Abrams School. Best in each grade winners received a Blue Ribbon and Certificate of Achievement from MAC, and a Letter of Congratulations from the Art League. IN ADDITION, their winning entries are on exhibit at the League's (Carriage House Gallery on the Physick Estate this
week.
Besides the sketches, drawings and paintings, there were two life-size paper sculptures by students of the Cape May Elementary School on exhibit; Big Bird by second graders; and Shakespeare by the gifted class of
