New Queen Oceania To Be Crowned

WILDWOOD - The revered crown will sparkle again when Wildwoods' Queen Oceania is crowned

July 17th.

Girls competing must be freshmen through seniors at an area high school, and applications will be accepted through July 13. The girls, wearing long evening gowns, will be judged on charm, beauty, poise and personality. The new queen will ride on the official Wildwoods float with her newly chosen' court of six, and r

The Queens contest, a major attraction during the summer season, is open to the public. The Baby parade draws thousands to watch countless bands, floats and beautiful babies. The Wildwood Baby Parade is the most spectacular on the East Coast.

Joyce Town ley Scholarship Recipient STONE HARBOR - The recipient of the Stone Scholarship, 'awarded by the local Rescue Squad for 1980, is Joyce Townley of 12S-114thSt., Miss Townley is a graduate of Stone Harbor Public School and Middle Township High where she was a member of the National Honor Society. Her hobbies are sports, playing piano and sewing. Miss Townley will attessf theUnhr. of Delaware in the fall where she will major in nursing. She also received a scholarship from the Cape May Medical Society Auxiliary to further her studies. « The Stone Harbor Rescue Squad holds a special Hoagie Sale in the spring to raise monies Just for the scholarship fund. The scholarship is awarded Stone Harbor residents to further their studies.

Miss Evans Is Engaged COURT HOUSE - Mr. and Mrs. Maurice C. Evans of 112 Colonial Ave., announce the engagement of their daughter Lynn Evans to Bruce Barra brandt, son of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Garrabrandt of Interlaken, (Monmouth County) N.J. Miss Evans is a 1976 graduate of Middle Township High School and ia I960 graduate of the Univ. of Delaware. She is currently working toward a master’s degree in Plant Pathology at Cook College, Rutgers University. Mr. Garrabrandt is a 1973 graduate of Neptune High School and a 1977 graduate of the Univ. of Delaware. He is currently employed by the As bury Park Press No date has been set for the wedding.
