No-Wall Racquetball Contest Sat. RIO GRANDE - The Middle Township Recreation Dept, is sponsoring a No-Wall Racquetball Tournament at the tennis courts here starting ll'a.m. Aug. 2 — but this Friday is the deadline to register. Registration may be effected by calling the Rec Dept. 485-3520 or in-person at the Rec Office in Township Hall. 115 S. Main St., Court House. The tourney will divide players into five age categories between 8 and adult, with boys playmg boys and girls vying against girls. Adding to the competition will be the National Racquetball Skill Contest whose winners will achieve state and national recognition^ No-Wall Racquetball (a.k.a. Racquetball Without Walls) is a new version of the old, fastaction sport. A specially designed ball is attached to a stretch band and the game is played on a flat, hard surface approx. 20 x 30 ft. There are no boundaries except for the front wall line. tv Idle Funds Are Really Interest-ing SEA ISLE CITY - City Treasurer Gloria Giampietro, has reported this resort gained $131,362 in interest on idle municipal funds which have been invested thru the six-month period ending June 30.

CAPE MAY-The Coast Guard Bears softball teaqi has maintained a sotid sedond place position m area competition with a presstime 20-2 record - but there was nothing seond best about the team's showing at the Jerry Breitzman Memorial Softball Tournament, earlier
this month.
The Bears trounced eight South Jersey teams to bring home not only the championship trophy, but the Most Valuable Player and Bracket awards too. The tournament took place in high-SO’s temperatures at Lennox China Field in Egg Harbor.
