,A J guided tour find on the continuing research at the Rutgers University Oyster Laboratory will be conducted by director Dr. Harold Haskin, Aug.Y Sponsored by thfc Cape May Georgraphic Society, the tour will focus on one of Delaware Bay's moat interesting species — the oyster and its associated community of orgahisms. Participants should meet at jthe Lafayette St elementary school parking lot near Madison Ave. at 9:30 a m. for car caravan to the oyster lab. Flea Mkt. Space GREEN CREEK — The local Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary is sponsoring a Fiea Market 9 to 4 Aug. 9, and tables are available for a $5 fee. Call 886-7050. Pine Barrens ‘Tour’ Friday CAPE MAY - Fran and Joe Shute will guide, viewers on a photographic trip through the fascinating wilderness of the New Jersey Pine Barrens, 8:30 p.m. Aug. 8 in Victorian Towers Auditorium. Entitled Beauty of the Barrens, the program will follow the blooming of the Barren's flowers from early spring thru the seasons to winter’s frozen landscape. Included will be * orchids, curly grass fern, crowberry and other specialties of the Pine Barrens. The program is sponsored by the Cape May Geographic Society and the^ public is encouraged.
