ON HIS FINAL day aboard TRACEN, Lt. J.g. Donald B. Trone was awarded the Coast Guard Achievement Medal for his superior performance of duty while serving in the Training Division. Lt. J.G. Trone was cited for his enthusiasm and dedication to his work. It was under Lt. j.g. Trone's guidance that the Regimental Runners was formed. This group of recruits made significant public relations impacts In runs in Cape May and Cape May Point. Lt. j.g. Trone was also responsible for achieving an increase of almost 50 percent in contributions from the Recruit Regiment in the Combined Federal Campaign. Lt. j.g.
