once and for all the man cai^ atill make great Like moat double live album* "Hot On The One" ha* some boring spots. But the highpoints outweigh the flaws. James Brown is in fine voice, raw and intense on the uptempo pieces and cool and passionate on the ballads. HIS BAND is sharp and to the point, and everyone sounds enthused even with old chestnuts such as "Please Please Please" and "Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag." There might be some who'd like to lift his crown, but James Brown is
still the King of Soul. The Sorrows are an excellent New York group, firmly rooted in the British invasion days of the midsixties. Their debut "Teenage Heartbreak" (Pavilfion), has catchy, memorable tunes, highlighted by fine singing. The Sorrows are a lot of fun and they deserve a hit
single.
ENGLAND'S The Vapors have already had one hit "Turning Japanese," in England and seem to be well on their way of repeating that on our shores. Their album "New' Clear Days" (United Ar-

COURT HOUSE - Those who take in this Sunday's free concert in the park at the bandshell in the County Park will hear^ne of the Jersey Cape’s most widely known musicians. And he's clearly no stranger to the park. Skip Kehr and the Four Most are popular entertainers in night spots throughout the Southern Cape. Kehr, a native of
West Cape May, is not only an accomplished, professional musician; he’s superintendent of Parks and Zoo for the Cape May County Park Commission. So if he seems to be paying closer attention to his surroundings than the average entertainer would during the 2:30 p.m. concert, it will be little wonder.

lists) is hill of tough, hard driving, yet always melodic tracks. Fans of The Clash and The Jam should welcome Hie Vapors. THANKS TO the success of Madbees, The Selector, and The Specials, some original ska artists have been recording again One great talent to re-enter the recording studio is Desmond Dekker. "Black and Dekker" (Stiff-
Import) is an amazing comeback album. Desmond’s voice is warm and tender and the Material (including a remake of his big hit "Israelite*”) is first-rate. I don't know if this will be issued on our shores or not but not only reggae/ska fans will want to pick this up as lovers of great vocalists will want to enjoy the texture of Desmond Dekker’s voice.
