Warsaw Doctor Among 5 Named at Shelton
CAPE MAY Five new members have been added to the faculty of Shelton College, announced at the» beginning of the fall semester by Dr. Carl Mclnti.e. chancellor. Dennis J.M. Brown, who has taught at Indiana State University. Greenville , College and Washington Baptist Teachers College, joins the education department Charmenz S. I>enhart. who taught at Shelton from 1971 to 1972, returns to teach English She most recently taught at Florida Institute of Technology. Derq ‘ Hewlett, who recently completed the work for his PhD degree at Ohio Static University.
majoring in music history, joins the music department. Now teaching biology and the Russian language at Shelton is Dr. Wladysaw Shturma, a graduate of the Medical Academy of Warsaw. Poland, which is associated with Warsaw University. Moat of his training was done in Russia. Because of his Christian testimony he was forced to leave Russia during his final, completing his education in Poland. Mark Herman, an alumnus, received his MA degree from the University of South Carolina, majoring in history.

COURT HOUSE - The first annual family picnic of the South Jersey Shore Chapter, South Philadelphia High School Alumni, will take place noon, Sept. 14, at the Cape County Park, Rt. 9. Some 85 members from classes ranging from 1919 to 1966 arc expected to attend with their families and friends. Many of those who are joining aren’t graduates,but were members of one of the classes, and have similar memories of the school, neighborhoods and classmates. AN ADDED attraction will be the string bands
who are . scheduled to perform as part of the County Park regular Sunday afternoon programs. The number of former South Philadelphia High School students in the South Jersey shore area, particularlyin Atlantic and Cape May Counties is estimated at about 500. STONE HARBOR - The women's Civic Club voneluded its summer program of special events with an art show that cochairladies Mrs. Marie Wood and Mrs. Harry Wear, along with their committee of Mrs. Roz Blair, Mrs. Philip Mixseli and Florence Folcher, called "most successful" Thirty entries were on display. The club reported many of the artists sold many more paintings this year than in other years to the steady stream of visitors that filled the club house throughout the day.
