Wine, Cheese Fete for AAUW STONE HARBOR - The Cape May County Branch of the American Association of University women (AAUW), will open its 1900-81 program with a wine and cheese party at the Wetlands Institute Sunday, Sept. 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. Area women who are graduates of an accredited college or university are invited to attend and meet with current members. Programs future months will be announced and project chairwomen will be on hand to discuss special programming for various interest groups within the organization.

Hospital Counts Its Daisy Day Sale COURT HOUSE - They were only paper daisies, but each one helped. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia — where nearly 25 percent of the inpatients are New Jersey residents — reported that volunteers for Daisy Day '80 from the Cape May County area raised a total of $350 for the benefit of patient care. Mrs. John Russell served as district director. In Pennsylvania and New Jersey, 4,000 volunteers took part in the fourday "Daisy Drive" held annually each May. The hospital recently announced total contributions this year at $207,735.

Gub Porch Sale Will Benefit Children in Need WILDWOOD - The Civic Club at Atlantic and Maple Aves., is putting charity on its front doorstep Saturday, Sept. 20. The day has been reserved by the club’s Evening Membership Dept for a porch sale from 9a.m. to 5 p.m. to benefit local child care. Household items, furniture, clothing, jewelry and collectibles will be on sale. Child cases the club is seeking to benefit include a Wildwood girl paralyzed after a diving accident, and a four-year-old boy with kidney problems.

BLAIRSTOWN, N.J.. — Three Jersey Cape students attended the recent 25th Leadership Training Conference, sponsored by the N.J. Assoc, of Student Councils, at the Ralph S. Mason

YMCACamp.

They included Ellen Karavangelas of Wildwood,George Mlnnittl Jr, of Rio Grande, and Judith Ann Buck of Cape May. All

are students at Wildwood Catholic High School, North Wildwood. At the conference 355 junior and senior high

school leaders from throughout the state came together to participate In classes on group leadership and student government.
