Bible Church ! 36 Years Old RIO GRANDE - Rio Grande Bible Church will be celebrating its 36th Anniversary 11 a.m, Sunday, Sept. 14. Pastor Robert H. Fox’s message will be "Why We Are Fundamentalists:" Clifford Harrington and others will also be ministering in the worship THE CHUURCH had its beginning when the Rio Grande Baptist Church and the Rio Grande Methodist Church merged in 1944. Rev. Clifford Greiner was called in 1948 and served as paster for 31 years. Clifford Harrington served as interim pastor until the church called Rev. Robert H. Fox as its full time pastor in November 1979. The various ministries are: Sunday School at 9:45 a.m., morning worship at 1! a.m., evening worship at 7 p.m., and Wednesday prayer meeting at 7 p.m. Programs include: a weekly senior high youth group, a monthly junior youth group, softball, and a canoe trip in the summer, , volleyball, ski trips, and a winter retreat. St. Mary’s Slates Guest Preacher STONE HARBOR - The Rev. Paul W. Lingie, former rector of the Church of the Holy Comforter in Drexel Hill, will be guest celebrant and preacher at the 8 and 10 a.m. services this Sunday at St. Mary's Episcopal Church. Coffee is served after the 10 a.m. service each Sunday. Church school starts at 10 a.m. in the parish hall. The Men's Club meets Tuesday at 10 a.m. Weekday services in the chapel are Morning Prayer at 8:45 Tuesday thru Saturday and the Holy Euoharist with healing prayers at 10 a.m. Thursday. St. Mary’s rector is the Rev. Wesley Martin. His office hours are from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday thru Saturday. Telephone number: 368-5922. ‘Need For Labor’ Sermon Topic RIO GRANDE - Pastor Guy L. Rathmell will preach on "The Need For Labor" at the 11 a.m. worship service in Grace Gospel Chapel Sunday. Sunday School is at 9:45 a.m. with classes for all -ages. At the 7 p.m. Sunday Service the pastor will speak on "A Promise to be Kept." ‘Getting Along’ b Sermon Topic N. WILDWOOD - "Getting Along With People" is the theme chosen by Pastor John M. Long for the 11 a m. Sunday service of the United Methodist Church. Second and Central Aves., Sept. 14 Jayne Holley is church organist. Mrs. Gertrude Ilg teaches a class for boys and girls.
