Rules to Play By Don’t Play Hooky At Rec Center!
Page 19
VILLAS - The Lower Township Recreation Center, 2600 Bayshore road, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and 6p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays for township residents only. Monday through Friday the center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. only to people who do not belong in school so that if they miss a bus or don’t go to school for any reason, they aren’t allowed in the center. Tbe reason for this rule, the center says, is so that students who should be in school and do not go to school for any reason will not feel that they can come to play in the center. "If they are well enough to come to the recreation
cepier and play, then they are well enough to go to school,” said a spokesman for. the Township Recreation Committee. The evening hours are divided so that only children 12 and under are allowed in the game room from 6 to 8 p.m. and 13 and over are allowed from 8 to 10 p.m. If a special activity other than free play is scheduled for the gym, the times and ages do not apply. If a special activity is scheduled for the gym.Tor example, from 6 to 8 p.m., those 12 and under are restricted to the gym from 8 to 10 p.m., those 12 and over are allowed only in the gym and the soda room not in the game room. DURING the day hours of 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays the center is
