Pastor Is Retiring Oct. 22
CAPE MAY - Bishop George H. Gtdlfoyle has announced the retirement of Msgr. M. Augustine Crine, pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea parish here,
effective Oct. 22.
In announcing the retirement of Msgr. Crine, who has served as dean of Cape May County for the past 24 years, Bishop
Gtdlfoyle said:
"AS MSGR. CHINE'S retirement from active assignment approaches, I express deep appreciation for his many years of active ministry. He has
served our people well and has been a special inspiration to many prleMs. I am grateful that he will remain living in the diocese and be available to assist in our parochial apostolate.

Msgr. Crine has been pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Cape May, for the past eight years and prior to that, he had served as pastor of St. Ann's, Wildwood, for 17 years. BORN IN MARLBORO, Msgr. Crine studied at St. Charles College, Catonsville, Md., and completed
Angelus Chorus Singing Out
STONE HARBOR - The Angelus Chorus is resuming 7:30 p.m. Monday rehearsals at Lutheran Church Parish
Hall.
The Chorus is under it’s new director, Sherman "Bud" Scull, Cape May Court House. He is well known for his solo work and as director emeritus of the Methodist Church <^ioir in Court House. The Angelus Chorus is a non-denominational
organization. It consists of those from local communities who get together each week because they love to sing. The chorus has performeo in concerts both sacred and secular for
many organizations.

Hotel; session meetings will be at the Music Pier. Fr. Kelly In New Pastorate CAPE MAY - The Rev. Edward J. Kelly, formerly associate pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea parish here, has been named as pastor of Holy Rosary in Cherry Hill, it was announced by Bishop George H. Guilfoyle in Camden.
hi* seminary training at Our Lady of the Angels Seminary, Niagara, N.Y. He was ordained to the priesthood in May 1936 in Trenton. From 1938 to 1944, be served as associate pastor at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Trenton; St. Augustine, Ocean City; St. Lawrence, Lindenwold (then Laurel Springs) and Holy Name, Camden. In June 1944, Msgr. Crine was named pastor of St. Matthew, National Park, and on March 17, 1945, he was named administrator of St. Nicholas, Egg Harbor. He was appointed pastor of St. NichoUs parish in August of 1945 and served there until he was appointed pastor of Sacred Heart parish, Mt. Ephraim, in February 1950. He was named pastor of St. Ann, Wildwood, in August 1955 and became pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Cape May, in
August 1972.
IN ADDITION to his pastoral duties, Msgr. Crine has served as a parish priest consul tor, area director for the Diocesan Census, as vicar for clergy for Atlantic and Cape May Counties, as area priest director for the House of Charity Appeal, and as a member of the Diocesan Commission of Liturgical Music, the Diocesan Liturgical Commission and the Committee for Continuing Education and Spiritual Formation of Priests. In December 1957, Msgr. Crine was named Domestic Prelate of Honor, with the title of Monsignor, and Prothonotary Apostolic in
June 1964.
