Variance Requests Air Oct. 7

VILLAS — The Lower Township Zoning Board of Adjustment is scheduled to hear several variance requests at its 7 p.m. meeting Tuesday in Township Hall; among them: —Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Smith of 662 Town Bank Rd. are seeking a use variance to use the second floor of the premises of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Kammer of 742 Seashore Rd. as an apartment; —Warren North of Ocean . City is seeking relief from front and rear yard requirements for development of Lots 2626A. 27-27A of Block 335 on Beach Dr. —Margaret and James Daisey of North Cape May are seeking permission to build withip 26 ft. of the rear property line of their 701 Learning Ave. address. —Harry Kane ol Burleigh seeks in-\ terpretation of the zoning map and ordinance plus a hardship variance to

permit the sale of 40x80 ft. lots, and subdivision of two lots. The overall property under consideration, which he owns, includes Block 194, Lots 3-19, Block 196, Lots 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7 to 34, and Block 204 Lots 2 to 34. Busy Time For Rescue Squad AVALON - At the Rescue Squad s September meeting Chief Fallon reported the volunteer unit made 59 emergency runs to local hospitals during the month of August. From May 27 to Sept. 1 a total of 200 trips were made. The operating personnel have been reduced due to many qualified volunteers returning to their homes for the winder. Six prospective new members have been enrolled in the Emergency Medical Technician course now being conducted in North Wildwood.
