Fire Poster Awards Go To 15 Pupils
STONE HARBOR - The Volunteer Fire Company presented first, second and third place awards to children in kindergarten and first through fourth grades who won the Fire Prevention Poster Contest. The awards were made following a luncheon In the firehouse for til the elementary school children.
Hie theme of the poster contest was “Home Safety" and the "Importance of Smoke Detectors" Judging the drawing was Mrs. Marie Wood, wife of
the mayor.
THE AWARDS were donated by MacDonald’s, plus a Susan B. Anthony dollar given by the Fire

ride in the fire truck.
THE WINNERS included: Kindergartenfirst, Erik Wanberg; second, Bryan Dunimere;
third, Peter Fagan.
First Grade - Kristin Bufi, Jennifer Sherwood, Rebecca Rich; Second Grade - Scott Gimmy, Brian James, Alison Rice; Third Grade - Denny Ehlert, Angel Gorski, Chip Sprite; Fourth Grade • Gwen Rich, Billy Rotnberger, Chris Rice. Fire Chief Douglass SUnford, assisted by U. Joseph Scott, made the presentations while other members of the fire company and the school teachers served the lunch.

PHILADELPHIA - One-
time heart attack victims between the ages of 28 and 64 are urgently needed to participate in a study
which addresses
number one killer in America today, heart disease. The National Institutes of Health is sponsoring four research teams across the country to explore the role of lowered cholesterol in the treatment of heart attack victims. ^ Hie newest center is at The Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia. K you quit smoking as a result of this American Cancer Society event, you’re invited to contact the Cape May County Unit at IS Deisea Drive and get a handsome “I Quit" button, according to Helen M. Pulaski, executive director of the unit. A SURVEY conducted after the 1979 Great American Smokeout showed that about 5 million smokers did not smoke at all on the day of the Smokeout and about 2.3 million cigarette smokers were still not sipoking a few days later. "We’d like to reward those who are stiU not smoking," Mrs. Pulaski said.
