Scouts Clean Beach
TOWN BANK - Three blocks of the Bay beach here have been cleaned of the summer’s accumulation of debris by members of Boy Scout Troop 193 as a good deed to beautify the community. Taking part in the cleanup were five members of the Night Owl Patrol, Fred Hartnett, Ron Hevener, Ron Nelson, John Reppert, and Jeff Woolson, reports Barbara Hartnett, troop secretary. Permission for the project was given by Deputy Mayor Jack Moran of Lower Township, who supplied trash bags and arranged for the collected trash to be removed. Last year the entire troop cleaned the area around the ferry slip.
