CAMDEN Bishop George H. Guiifoyle has announced the appointment of Msgr. Patrick J. Madden, as pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea in Cape May. effective Oct. 31. Msgr. Madden was bom in Collingswood and studied at LaSalle College. St*. Charles College in Catonsivile, Md., and Immaculate Conception Seminary in Darlington, N.J., before completing his sominary training at St. Mary’s Seminary, Baltimorfe, in 1945. He was ordained to the priesthood in December 1945 FROM 1946 to 1948, while studying at Catholic
University in Washington, D.C., Msgr. Madden served as summer associate at St. John in Collingswood, Blessed Sacrament in Margate, and Our Lady Of Carmel in Berlin. In October 1948, he was named associate pastor at St. Joseph’s Pro-Cathedral in East Camden, and later served as associate pastor at St. Rose in Newfield, and St. Mary Magdalen in Miflville, before being named pastor of St. Rose in 1955. He was appointed pastor of St. Luke parish in Stratford in 1961, and in 1971 was named pastor of St. Lawrence in Lindenwold, his moot recent pastorate.

RIO GRANDE - ’ What to Think of Death?’’ is the title of the 11 a.m. message for this Sunday's worship service to be delivered by Pastor Guy Rathmell at Grace Gospel Chapel.
