Big Halloween Party Nov. 1
CAPE MAY — One of the most popular community events of the past, a giant Halloween Party on the Physick Estate grounds, will be revived this year from 6 to 10 on the Saturday night after Halloween, Nov. 1. t Once again the spirits will convert the basement of the Physick House into a Deadly Dkmgeon of thrills and chills for all the brave souls who dare to descend into its dark and dangerous depths. ABOVE GROUND there will be games, food and fun for all. A giant costume parade during the evening will give everyone who wishes a chance to compete for prizes. The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) is arranging the special party to mark its 10th an-
niversary. MAC started in October 1970 with a fund raising Halloween Party. This year, as restoration of the Physick House nears completion, the ghostly gathering takes on a special meaning. IN KEEPING with the community spirit of the celebration, every group or organization in the area is urged to run a game that night for it’s own profit. All that is necessary is to contact the MAS office (884-5404), dream up a game or attraction - no food, please, the Cape May County Art League is supplying that - and come on to the estate. Should evil spirits bring rain on Saturday night, the haunting will be moved to Sunday, Nov. 2. The witching hours will remain 6 to 10 p.m.
