Resolution Memorializes Mrs. Armacost

Church Adds 11 Members

EJla<orth Armacost was a prominent leader in local and county civic activities as well as beautification projects, and was active in may political, charitable and religious organizations. Interested in preservation of wildlife, Mrs.

Armacost was the instigator of the "Save the Turtle" movement to protect these harmless hard-shelled reptiles from senseless extinction by drivers on highways who inadvertently or deliberately kill them. Picked up by the

Associated Press, this campaign received national attention. After passage, the resolution was signed by the entire council and president to Mayor Armacost — deeply affecting all those present at the meeting. •

CAPE MAY - Eleven new members were accepted into the First Presbyterian Church Oct. 19, with Pastor Cass L. Shaw, officiating. There was a reception for the new members following the 11 a.m. service. Sunday school is at9:90a.m.

"Stewardship - the Risks and Results” is the theme of the Bible study meeting} at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

Bible Prophecy SEA ISLE CITY - A "Prophecy Seminar” will be held Oct. 31, Nov. 1-2,6, 7 and 8 at the Civic Auditorium, on 85th St. ‘One for AH’ Chapel Topic RIO GRANDE - The Rev. Guy L. Rathmell, pastor of Grace Gospel Chapel, will preach on the submect "One for All” at the 11 a.m. service Sunday. Pastor Rathmell will present a message on "Actions Tell the Story” at the? p.m. Sunday service. The chapel's radio program "Sending forth the Gospel Light” is heard each Tuesday evening at 6:30 over station WRIO-FM The weekly prayer meeting is held on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. for the entire family.

Seminar Topic here. The seminar, sponsored by the Parkway South Seventh-Day Adventist Church, is intended to provide answers to questions about the Bible. All sessions will begin at 7:30p.m.
