Dog Licenses to Cost More

Student Takeover Scheduled'

STONE HARBOR - An ordinance increasing, the dog license fee frofn $3.50 to $4 will have its final reading at the Borough Council meeting Nov. 11. It was indicated that the raise was needed to meet an increase in the state fee. The council also proclaimed Thursday,Nov. 20, as "Smokeout Day." sponsored by the

American Cancer society to discourage cigarette smoking. It was reported that fees and maintenance costs for •4he borough’s tennis courts were about even this year. However, the craft show, which lost money, may not be held next year. The art show and fishing tournaments wound up in the black.

COURT HOUSE - The youth of Middle Township High School will be taking over the town Nov. 5,6, and 7. As a part of Youth Appreciation Week sponsored by the Optimist Club of Middle Township, students from Middle Township High School will be helping and observing local public officials at their jobs. According to club President, Bob Wells,

That evening the students will sit 4»ith the mayor and committee persons at the regularly scheduled town meeting Friday students will take tours of the municipal and county offices. Todd Coolidge, Connie Wittmeyer, Diane Sideravage, Vicki ,Countiss, Brenda Yocum, John Douglass, Sylvia Bryan, Roseann Chew, Beth , Jacobs, Doug Penkethman and Krista Ulbrich.
