HOW TO COOK YOUR THANKSGIVING TURKEY 1. Allow 1 lb. of tflrkey per person. 2. Scrub the turkey-inside ond out with worm water. 3. Dry the turkey with a cloth. 4. Rub it well inside with salt. 5. Fill the body cavity loosely with stuffing. Sew up the incision or secure it with skewers. 0. Rub the outside with butter and place o foil tent over the turkey. 7. Roast the turkey in a slow oven 300 degrees until tender. Allow 25 minutes per lb. for a bird under 12 lbs.. or 20 minutes per lb. for a larger bird. 1. Baste the turkey every half hour with the pan drippings. 4. You can remove the foil tent for the last hour of cooking.
