Ahhhhh, the turkey day is not too far off. November is speeding by like a shooting star. Speaking of shooting stars, w;e are right in the midst of the yearly visit of the November Shooting Stars. Have you seen any of them? People used to be afraid of shooting stars. They thought they foretold war, or famine, or plague, or even the end of the world. But the astronomers tell us they are tiny particles of stone or metal drifting in space, and as our Earth

comes around near them each November in its trip around the sun, some of the nearest of these little particles are attracted to it. As they come into our atmosphere, friction caused by their high speed makes them get hot, white hot, so that they shine like stars as they fall to earth.
