Rec Dept. Winter Schedule

AVALON — Recreation Director Dave Haberie has announced the winter schedule of recreation activities effective Nov. 10. Adult volleyball started Nov. 13 and the one on one basketball tournament started Nov. 17. THE BOYS WRESTLING will begin Dec. 3. Weighlifting classes will start Dec. 10 and follow every Monday. Wednesday and Friday 5 to 6 p.m. Registration for all activities will take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. week days. Copies of all activities planned including a Christmas vacation schedule may be obtained at the Community

TRENTON — November 24 and 27 are both big days for New Jersey Waterfowlers. The state Division of Fish. Game, and Wildlife said today that those are the days on which the second portions of the split seasons for ducks, coots, snow geese, the Canada geese open. The seasons are as follows: duck and coot, coastal zone, Nov. 27-Jan. 7; snow goose, Nov. 24-Dec. 27; Canada goose, Nov. 27<Jan. 24. THE SECOND PORTION of the north zone season for ducks and coots will run from Dec. 20 to Jan. 3.

Library Closes The Book On Kramer Bev. CAPE MAY - First place Library III using their power game of Stkk Farragber, Chock Curtis and Jack Caatello smashed by Kramer Beverage 15-0, 15- 8, 6-15 and Sports V Stuff 15-6, 15-9, 15-10 to remain ahead of Schramm and Hallman in recent Men's Volleyball action. Dekeleo took two of three seesaw games from the hustling Kramer Beverage squad. Rick Hawley and Dave Matagiese led Dekeleo with effective serving and spiking. The Avengers ou(slugged Schramm and Hallman iS3, 14-16, 15-12 despite the overpowering play of Stuart Cohen and Joe Hataz. Bruce Pritchard and Kevin Beare excelled defensively for the Avengers. MVP Sports-Riffraff got locked into a match with Dekeleo that saw all three games go to overtime. MVP survived 15-17, 17-15, 16- 14 as Bodd Bowman. Rick Ferrante and Brendan Rosenberg came up with some crucial and intimidating plays at the net. . Schramm and Hallman built comfortable leads and nailed Dare Realty 15-4,15-2,15-3. Serving and Spiking were the potent weapons for Schramm and Hallman provided by Slu Cohen and Bob Pullinger.
