U.S. Opens 2 Disaster Aid Offices I NEWARK - The U.S. 'Small Business | Administration has opened two disaster offices to handle loan applications for damage incurred from the heavy rain and gale force winds which affected Atlantic. Cape May, Cumberland, Salem and adjacent New Jersey counties on Oct. 28. The offices are located in the Cumberland County Administration Building. 790 E. Commerce Street, Route 49, Bridgeton, and in the Federal Aviation Administration, FAA Technical Center (formerly NAFEC), BukUng 270, Tilton Road, Pomona. 8BA ADMINISTRATOR A. Vernon Weaver, in response to a request made by Gov. Brendan Byrne, issued a declaration making the SBA disaster loan assistance available to businesses, residents and property owners in those affected counties, Acting District Director Stanley H. Salt has announced. The SBA disaster offices opened on Nov. 18. The offices will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. THOSE WHOSE homes, businesses, personal

property or inventory were damaged or destroyed are eligible to apply for disaster loans. The interest rate for loans to repair or replace primary homes is 3 per cent, while the interest rate for secondary homes is 9 and one quarter per cent. The interest rate on business loans is 5 per cent. However, business firms that can obtain their financing from other sources will be charged 11 and one eighth per cent. Residential personal property loans are

available up to $10,000 at 3 per cent but a combination of residential real and personal property disaster loans can not exceed $55,000. Disaster business loans are administratively set at a maximum of $500,000. Economic Injury Disaster Loans will be available at 9 and one quarter per cent. The final date for filing regular disaster loan applications is Jan. 15, 1981 and for Economic Injury Disaster Loans the final date is Aug. 14,1981.

Gasohol Bill Gets House OK

WASHINGTON - The House of Representatives has overwhelmingly approved legislation introduced by Congressman Bill Hughes (D-NJ) designed to help promote the use and production of gasohol. The bill, entitled the Gasohol Competition Act of

1980, protects the ability of service stations to market gasohol and other synthetic fuels without fear of unreasonably discriminatory or otherwise unlawful action by the oil companies which supply them with conventional fuel. Gasohol, produced by mixing nine parts of
