Used Truck To get Used

LOWER TWP. - The $10,500 bid of Rio Grande Building Materials to sell a used dump truck was accepted by the Township Committee Nov. 24. It was the only offer l received by the governing body which had advertised

that it was looking for a second hand vehicle. The truck will be used for the township's large trash pick-up and to transport "cold patch” between supplier and road site, thus saving delivery cost in road repair projects.

byUuieFrkt Lower Township will be offering various property for public auction in a sale scheduled for early this month. Most of the lots are oddsized and the minimum bids have been predetermined by township Real Property officer James Augustine. The prices range from $1,500 to $11,000. Though the sale is deemed public, it is primarily aimed toward neighboring property owners, all of whom have been notified by mail. At the Nov. 24 Township Committee meeting, there was some question as to just how public the sale really is. Committee member Peggie Bieberbach questioned the fact that township solicitor John Callinan hadn't set an exact sale date even though "early December" was just around the comer. A move to close further discussion was initiated by Committeemen Jack Moran and seconded by the Mayor Tom Clydesdale

before Ms. Bieberbach was “finished with her

After the meeting, Ms. Bieberbach expressed concern for a back list of township properties that seems to have gone unaccounted for some time. This was brought to the attention of Mr. Augustine who explained the existence of such a list. He pointed out that his position of Real Property officer was fairly new and there is much to be done since the properties have been neglected for years. He made a point of stating that all properties of this sort will be sold eventually. Data on the lots to be sold this month include: 8.
