CCC Seminar On preparing To Take Exams VINELAND—"Preparing for College Entrance Exams" will be the topic of a free seminar at Cumberland County College at 7 p.m. tomorrow in* the student lounge of the Dr. Charles Cunningham College Center. Steven Stolar, a Cumberland County College counselor, will lead the discussion about preparing for college entrance exams, such as the Scholastic Achievement Test (SAT). Also present will be Jules Kohn, from Thomas Edison College. He will provide information about the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). He will also discuss the advantages of attending a "college without walls.” Both Stolar and Kohn will be available for individual questions related to preparing for college entrance exams.
Lineman Eddie McLaughlin: Defenaive Lineman - Jeff Kane; Defensive Back Tam Tice. The highlight of the evening — the coaches award went to Chrla Nichols. With the loss of these outstanding seniors, it looks like next season will be a rebuilding year for the Panther coaches. • • • The basketball season will open this Friday night against Oakcrest and we ll be able to see how the charges of neophyte coach Bill Lucas shape up this year. They have had a couple of scrimmages and looked good against Vineland last Friday. It remains to be seen who will be the team leader and take charge man. Also will a high scorer develop or will it be an evenly balanced scoring machine? • • • COADH Bill Penman of the Lady Panthers is playing it very low-key this year after a disappointing season last year. They looked very strong in a scrimmage against Vineland on Friday and should have no trouble winning the Christmas Kiwanis Tournament this year, since Atlantic City and Pleasantville will be absent. • • • VERONICA THOMPSON of last year's Middl Township team has won a starting berth on the Stockton Varsity team. Although not a high scorer, she is a tower of strength on defense and adept at play-making. Her brother Rewi plays on the men’s team. Truly a talented duo! • » • IT LOOKS like Ricky Harmon will not play anymore basketball. Another operation on his knee has not repaired the damage and he will miss this season at Old Dominion in Virginia.
