Students to Present Plays

ERMA — Stanley Taikeff's “Ah, Eurydice" and Israel HoroviU’s “The 75th“ will be presented on Friday and Saturday, by the students of Lower Cape May Regional High School here. “Ah Eurydice” is a modem re telling of the classic Greek myth of Pluto, Orpheus and Eurydice in the “Underworld" set on Coney Island in the late 1950's. "The 75th" tells the tender story of two elderly people who have rediscovered each other at a modest cafe, coming together to

celebrate the 75th reunion ot their high school graduating class. Needless to say, they are the only members of the class alive to celebrate the reunion. "AH. EURYDICE"showcases the talents of Chris Back, Earl Moore and Seth Johnson, while seniors David Holzmer and Colleen McDade portray the principals in “The 75th.” Ticket holders will again be seated on the stage with the play. Consequently, limited seating will be available. For information on tickets call 884-3475.

New Well For Boro?

STONE HARBOR-, - Councilman Harvey Strohmet7 reported at the council meeting Nov. 25 that video scanning of the first well to be drilled in Stone Harbor, approximately 50 years ago, was successful only to a depth of 651 feet. It has been hoped to place cameras at the depth of 800 feet to determine why the well, located at 96th and 2nd Ave., was not

replacing water at the expected rate. When it became impossible to lower the television equipment to the 800 ft. level, councilman Strohmetz consulted the Layne-New York Co. and it was the consensus that the old well should be sealed and a new one drilled at a nearby vicinity. The rough estimate for construction of a new well was $200,000
